How to Achieve Flawless Skin in Time for Your Wedding Day

Read on for the Siempre Viva Top Tips on Wedding Day skincare. Including advice from our skincare specialist and founder, Greta McKnight!

When Should I Start Prepping for My Weeding Day?

To achieve the wedding day skin of your dreams, you should start prepping your skin at least 6 months in advance. This will give your skin enough time to fully receive the benefits from the work you put in! To make sure you implement a routine and products that fit your skin, we recommended speaking to a skincare specialist before you start. They can help you target your specific issues and tailor a routine for you.

What Should My Skincare Routine Look Like?

Firstly, your discussion with a skincare specialist should include the creation of a strict skincare plan designed specifically for your skin. At the 6-month mark you should also receive your very first wedding prep facial.

The most important thing is that you commit to your skincare routine, consistency is key!

Your skincare routine should include a weekly exfoliation (either once or twice a week). This will draw out toxins, clear your pores, and refresh your skin. Start this at least 5 months in advance of the wedding. We recommend our pink clay mask Pinkie which will fully cleanse your skin, tighten pores, and brighten your overall appearance.

Following this, your skincare focus should be hydration. It’s best to start this 3 months before the wedding. Try our ultimate hydration serum Hydra to fully provide the nourishment your skin needs. Hydra can revive even the thirstiest skin, designed to penetrate the deepest layers with its rich oils and natural ingredients.

Importantly, don’t add or change anything about your skincare routine from the 3-months mark as it can be risky. It can take a while for skin to heal if it is irritated by a product. It can also take some time for treatments to work their full magic, so have your final one 1 month before the big day.

What Skincare Should I Use on The Day?

Being the base for your makeup, you want lightweight products that stay put! Otherwise, the makeup on top can become cakey or require constant retouching. With such a busy day ahead, this is the last thing you need!

Eyelift is designed with this in mind and so will sit perfectly under your makeup! With the heaviest makeup area usually around your eyes, you need the perfect product. Eyelift keeps your makeup looking flawless on top, whilst working underneath to improve dark cicrles, puffiness, and the signs of aging.

Don’t Forget Your Wellbeing!

Our founder, Greta McKnight, has spoken to lots of brides-to-be on the run up to their wedding day, and surprisingly their number 1 complaint is anxiety and stress!

This can not only distract you from enjoying the big day, but it can also take a toll on your skin. So, we recommend you focus on your wellbeing as much as possible before the wedding, even starting as early as your skincare!

To both improve your wellbeing, and the health of your skin we have a few steps of advice. Firstly, exercise regularly as this will provide your skin with the oxygen and nutrients needed. Get your beauty sleep so that your body can rest, heal, and repair. Avoid stress where possible as this can result in breakouts and flare-ups of skin conditions.

We understand that planning a wedding can be stressful, tiring, and an extremely busy task! You’re likely to need a helping hand. So, we recommend trying our Wellness Drops. Whether you are struggling to sleep, de-stress, or find your energy – we can help!
