Happy International Women’s Day!

If you have been keeping up with Siempre Viva, you will have heard of our founder and owner, Greta McKnight. In the spirit of International Women’s Day, we want to shine a light on our very own beauty guru and her achievements, in the hope that her story inspires you to achieve your aspirations too – we know you can!

Before the launch of Siempre Viva, Greta McKnight had already built up an impressive history in the beauty industry. She owns and founded her own award-winning beauty training academy where she educates a new generation of beauty therapists for holistic, non-surgical skincare solutions and beauty treatments.

“One of my favourite things to do is teach and educate, I love sharing my knowledge. The beauty industry is dominated by women, and pursuing a career in this industry can be so rewarding. At the end of the day, the students I teach can launch their own businesses, take control of their own work schedules and have extra freedom and control. Watching my students go on to launch their own careers and start their own journey is really special,” Greta explains.

During the pressures of lockdown Greta was one of thousands of other business owners who faced COVID related implications. Not being able to teach or work with her clients, Greta faced uncertainty around the future of her business. She was also very aware of the fact that with everything being in lockdown, that her clients wanted products that could produce salon level results from home. That’s where the idea behind Siempre Viva was born, Greta sought to create her own line of skincare products that could do just that.

We asked Greta how she manages to keep herself motivated, even during the tough times.

“There’s a myth that to reach a goal you have to work at your absolute best 24/7, making sacrifices along the way such as time for your loved ones or even sleep and just putting your one goal first. But I think it’s important to remember to keep balance in your life and make sure you don’t run yourself down. Staying healthy and happy on the journey is important and it keeps your motivation going. That’s the tip I want all business women out there to know.”
